The Soxhlet apparatus operates on the principle of continuous solvent extraction. It facilitates the repeated evaporation, condensation, and siphoning of the solvent, thereby ensuring the thorough extraction of soluble components from solid samples.

Applications:

  • Sectors such as medical, agriculture, educational institutions, dairy, food and beverages, biotechnology, hospitals, chemicals, laboratories, and cement, among others, are relevant.

  • Used in extraction of active constituents from crude drugs.
  • Use for Determination of fat content in food (oil extraction).

  • Constructed from powder-coated mild steel or aluminum, featuring a corrosion-resistant finish.

  • Utilizes and incorporates an embedded nichrome wire heating coil, evenly distributed for consistent heating.

  • A circular ceramic or metal plate intended for the placement of beakers and flasks.
