Terms and Conditions

1. General Overview

By accessing our catalog and placing orders with Sathya's Scientific Instruments Co., you confirm that you agree to and are bound by the following terms and conditions. We reserve the right to update or change these terms at any time without prior notice.

2. Pricing & Commercial Charges

• Packing Charges: 2% on the basic price for standard laboratory and industrial equipment.
• Special Packaging: Wooden case packing will be charged extra at actual cost.
• GST / Taxes: 18% GST extra or as applicable under current Government of India regulations.
• Transportation & Freight: Delivery charges will be charged extra, unless specifically mentioned as inclusive in the formal quotation.

3. Order Confirmation & Cancellations

• Orders are confirmed and scheduled for manufacturing only after receipt of an official Purchase Order (PO) and agreed advance payment from the Buyer/Institution.
• Once an order is confirmed and production is scheduled, cancellation charges of 10% of the total order value will be applicable.
• Customized or special-dimension chambers cannot be cancelled once fabrication has begun.

4. Installation & Commissioning Policy

• Chennai & Suburbs: Installation and commissioning is complimentary within Chennai (Tamil Nadu) if the total order value exceeds ₹2,00,000.
• Orders below ₹2,00,000: Standard installation service charges will apply (approximately 2% or as quoted based on location).
• Interstate Orders: For locations outside Tamil Nadu, installation, travel, and boarding charges will apply depending on site accessibility.

5. Warranty & Service Coverage

The standard warranty does not cover operational consumables and regular wear-and-tear components, including:

• Heating elements and immersion rods
• Thermocouples and temperature sensors
• Indicator bulbs, pilot lamps, and fuses
• Rotary switches and MCBs damaged due to power surges

6. Calibration & Traceability Certificates

• Calibration and NABL traceability certificates are not included by default unless specifically requested prior to order placement.
• Calibration certificates are issued exclusively for digitally controlled, microcontroller-based equipment upon request.

7. Price Validity

Published price lists and estimates supersede all prior communications. Quotations remain valid for the period specified in the formal commercial quote.

8. Legal Jurisdiction

All contracts, disputes, and legal matters are strictly subject to Chennai Court Jurisdiction only.
